The granddaddy of all MMORPGs, World of Warcraft, is well known for getting into the holiday mood in-game. Valentine’s Day is certainly no different. Going on right now is the in-game event, “Love is in the Air.” And unlike most games that just throw hearts into the gaming environment, WoW even incorporates official lore into the event:
The Steamwheedle Cartel suspects there’s something shady about the goblin newcomers of the Crown Chemical Company. Investigators have been hired to get to the bottom of things — with your help.
Players can help out by taking on a seasonal boss, Apothecary Hummel, and completing daily quests to win all sorts of goodies such as exclusive mounts, and a title.
